Game night last night! Got to play Descent 2.0 and it was a blast. I’d never played the original because of the daunting length but the starter scenario with 4 heroes was done in less than 2 hours, everyone but the overlord had never played either version of Descent and were learning as we went along.

The war game aspects of the game might appear to some people outside of the Warhammer zone, but if you like Warhammer 40K and know a bit about the Horus Heresy stuff, you will enjoy this. Fantasy Flight board games always look great and this one is no exception. The artwork is awesome on this one.

There’s also Horus Heresy Which is supposedly a quite cool 1v1 game where one player plays the imperium defending itself from Horus’ chaos space marines. And there’s Death Angel a Card based coop game where you play a group of terminators exploring a space hulk.
20/09/2013 · I wasn’t sold on Horus Heresy at first because I saw some games marked 40% off and didn’t realize HH was just straight up reduced to 25 bucks. I will be making a return trip tomorrow to pick this one up. My first big box game no less (I suppose Wallenstein would count as a big box game if it were Fantasy Flight).

Horus Heresy is a board game released in 2010 by games publisher Fantasy Flight Games for 2 players. The board game is set in the fictional Horus Heresy , with one player controlling the loyal faction and the other controlling the rebels.
Horus Heresy keeps the stacking limit concept from the original game. Back in 1993, this referred to the fact that the various forces of the Imperial and Chaos were represented by cardboard counters.
